OUR STORY

We are a passionate family of animal lovers with over 15 years of experience in dog rescue. Our journey to create AARFF was inspired by our own rescue dogs, as we wanted a place where they could truly thrive without the worries of public dog parks or on-leash reactivity. AARFF is the perfect haven for all dogs to run, play, and train in a safe and welcoming environment!

Owner / Operator

Katrina Di Raddo

Katrina has owned dogs her entire life and fell in love with the world of dog rescue. It was through her experience with these often fearful, anxious, or behaviourally challenged dogs that made her want to create a space where they could enjoy all the freedom and fun that every dog deserves!

Right-Hand Man

Troy Woodland

Troy is the ultimate animal whisperer - from dogs and cats to birds and bunnies. He lives his life on the autism spectrum and feels a deep connection to animals. This drives his passion for assisting Katrina with AARFF in order to provide a safe place for dogs to explore various skills and unleash their true potential.

Chief Farm Dog

June

June was adopted by Katrina and Troy in February 2025. She went from a scared pup too afraid to even enter the home, to a confident dog that totally runs the farm. June is loyal, loving, and independent. She enjoys spending time outdoors and helping her Mama and Papa to set up and take care of the property.

Maya

Maya is the wild child of the family! While Katrina and Troy were fostering Maya in November 2025, a special undeniable bond formed between her and June, and the decision was made to adopt Maya. She is active, energetic, and driven. Maya empties her toy box every morning, and if there's food somewhere - she'll find it!
